I sought to Pinterest one evening to see what the bloggers of the world were adding to their greek yogurt to make it a more filling snack. Surprisingly, I couldn’t find a lot of results that weren’t your typical “fruit & granola” type of thing, so I decided to make my own mash-up, and you’ve got to try it. Its super simple, healthy, and tastes delicious. Even Sydney wanted a taste! And I have to give a shout out to my girl Ree Drummond for creating these adorable little “measuring bowls.” I believe you can get them at Walmart (they came in my pots & pans set). They come in 1 cup, 1/2 cup, 1/3 cup and 1/4 cup sizes and are perfect for portion control. Side note: this is a calorie-heavy snack. I am trying out Intermittent Fasting (see other post), and by the end of the day, I generally need to get some more calories/fats in and this helps!
Sydney really does love yogurt. Like, a lot. She’d live off tuna & yogurt if we let her.
Best (& Easiest) Yogurt Snack:
1/2 C. Vanilla Dannon Oikos Triple Zero
1/2 scoop Chocolate Whey Protein Powder
1 Tbsp. Peanut Butter
~10 Peanut Butter Chips
~ 1 Tbsp. of the tiniest Chocolate Chips I ever saw
Throw it all in a bowl (it doesn’t have to be the cute Pioneer woman bowls, but I definitely recommend it), and eat! I like to melt the peanut butter first and drizzle it on top. I find that if I take time to make my food pretty, I eat it slower, thus giving me more satisfaction. I use the protein powder from Aldi- its $14 for the whole tub, and after comparing literally 10 other powders, Aldi has no trouble competing. In fact, I like its simplicity- none of the “extras.”
Give this a try. Your doggo will be jealous.
